Okay, sarcasm aside, we absolutely adore our Great Dane, Norah. She’s quirky and loving and makes us laugh, and smile (and sometimes yell). If you ask her, she’d say her biggest accomplishment was sneaking an entire steak off the counter top (in true “Marley and Me” fashion), but if you ask us, it’s her ability to make us feel like the most special people on the planet when we walk in the door. Because of that, sometimes we let her have the steak, and let her on the furniture while we sit on the floor, and add the bag of treats to the basket while purchasing her food. And, I know some of you must too! Because if any of the above resonates with you- you probably contributed to making Halifax one of the “Top cities in Canada with the most pampered pets” according to Amazon.ca’s fifth annual list.
To celebrate, Amazon.ca has released their "must-have" reads for doggo-lovers (including some of my favourites). We’re a house of Amazon Kindle users, and we just upgraded to the Kindle Paperwhite 3G edition. It has FREE 3G anywhere you are, which means you can literally purchase a book while you’re out at the dog park! Less time in store, more time at the dog park- win/win. And…because it’s a kindle, you have one hand free to give those belly rubs our pups love us so much for!
So, if you too, find time to read the odd book in between cleaning up the hair and re-planning your dinner when it disappears from the counter top, you are going to love these book recommendations for doggo-lovers just like us. And, if your dog food bill is more than your grocery bill, you are going to really love the chance to win a $100 Amazon.ca giftcard on my Instagram. I’ll be posting the contest details soon (@britdesign), so check that out for a chance to win!
