If you follow me on Instagram (@britdesign) you'll notice we purchased a super rad new sofa from The Brick. It is a mid century modern style, with retro curves and legs. You can check it out here (it's from the GALO collection). While I was browsing, I noticed this super cool open cage table lamp (see details here). If you haven't already noticed, I'm a sucker for geometric shapes and clean lines. This lamp has a modern flare, with a traditional lampshade to balance the look. My husband laughs at me because we own almost as many lamps and light fixtures as we do mugs (and that's saying something)! Light fixtures are an affordable way to make a statement in a room- especially if you have a rental that limits your ability to change features such as paint and wall treatments. It would look great on a nightstand or end table styled with a candle or a decorative dish. Tip: Locating a light fixture in front of a mirror re-directs the light to create an illusion that the room is brighter + larger!
Have a wonderful weekend!
