I love do-it-yourself blog posts, and what better than one with free printables! My holiday gift to you (you can thank me in the comments section later...just kidding!)
I normally use ribbon to add some dimension to my Christmas tree, but this year I wanted to try something new. So, I designed some holiday themed phrases to hang "bunting style" on the tree as garland. They came out so cute that I had to share with you. I've posted a PDF below so you can print, cut and create them yourself if you wish! The PDF has enough letters for 5 phrases: joy, peace, love, cheer & merry. These are so easy to make and require minimal supplies.
What you'll need:
4 sheets of cardstock
String or Ribbon
3 inch circular paper punch (you can pick one up at your local craft store) OR scissors
You'll need to download the PDF at the bottom of the post (scroll down!). Once you've downloaded it, print it off onto your cardstock.
Punch/cut out all of the lettered circles.
Line up each phrase one by one. When you do this, you'll need to flip them over so the letters are facing downward. The letters will also need to be backward.
You'll need to cut the lengths of string long enough that you can tape it to the backs of the letters in each phrase. The lengths of string will be different depending on the length of the phrase, and how much space you separate each letter by. I chose to separate my letters by about three quarters of an inch. Once you have the strings cut, you can line the string along the center of the backs of each letter and tape them (one piece of tape each will do it!). Once the letters are all taped, flip over your masterpiece!
Lay each phrase on the tree (you can use any leftover string to twirl around the branches to secure it if you need to).
Ta da! Pat yourself on the back, and make sure you don't hesitate to brag to all holiday visitors that you made these pieces of beauty all by yourself!
